這句話是經過翻譯家修改之後的，愛迪生的原話是：None of my inventions came by accident. I see a worthwhile need to be met and I make trial after trial until it comes.What it boils down to is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. 翻譯過來是：我的所有發明都不是偶然的。
