第七，在語言風格上要平實、簡潔，切忌用誇張。比喻的手法引起誤解，而要給招聘者留下誠懇，務實的印象。

招聘者也沒有時間閱讀過長的信件，所以整篇書信要簡短，能控制在一頁16開紙上為最好。在句子結構上要多用長句.長句善於表達複雜事物，一方面有利於準確表達求職者的意圖，容易給招聘者留下思維條理清晰，邏輯性強的印象；另一方面，將大量資訊融合到一個句子中，很容易抓住招聘者的注意力，迫使其一口氣讀完，從而留下深刻印象。
