下面是英語書法中要做到或注意的一些事項：

1、大寫字母寫在第一格和第三格內，上面不要頂格，要留有一點兒餘地，下面要壓齊第三條線，其書寫方法同印刷體的書寫法基本一樣，毋庸贅述；

2、小寫字母的手寫體和印刷體是不完全一樣的，要特別注意f g k y的手寫體和印刷體之間的區別；

3、不要把下列字母互相寫混：d和cl ol el、r和v、a和u、c和e等；

4、寫下列字母a c e m n o r s u v w x z時，要灌滿中間格，注意要灌滿，不要寫大，更不要寫小；

5、寫b d h k時，上面要頂格，下面壓齊第三格，中間的“圈兒”的上面不要高於第二格，也不要低於這個格；

6、寫g p q y時，下面要壓齊第四格，上面要頂第二格；

7、i的主體在二三格之內，要灌滿二三格，點兒點在一二格內靠下的位置，點圓；

8、j的主體在二四格之內，上下頂格，點兒點在一二格靠下的位置，點圓；

9、t上面不要頂格，頂部寫到一二格中間的位置即可，下面壓齊第三格，橫線要寫在第二格的橫線上，要寫平；

10、f是英文字母中唯一四個格全佔的字母，寫在四個格之內的，上下頂格，橫線要寫在第二格的橫線上，要寫平要特別注意它和印刷體區別巨大；

11、在寫單詞時，i j的點兒，f t的橫線以及x的左撇要在寫完一個單詞的整體部分後再按反方向寫上；

12、寫的時候，該對齊的地方一定要對齊，有格的時候要寫齊，沒格的時候也要寫齊；

13、在一個單詞內所有的字母都可以連寫，這樣看起來每個單詞都是手拉手的整體。但是，連筆寫的時候要有個原則，就是清晰不混。字母的非主體部分，要以重複走過的筆跡為主，不能重複的時候才能帶點兒痕跡，嚴防重複時畫圈，特別是在可能引起誤會的情況下更不能畫圈；

14、單詞內部字母可以連寫，但絕對禁止粘在一起從而使讀者無法區分是哪個字母；

15、切忌寫單詞的時候讀出字母名稱，應該讀出字母或字母組合在該單詞中的讀音，字母在字母表中的名稱音和在單詞中的讀音常常是不一樣的；

16、切記，該寫的時候寫，不該寫的時候不要寫，要寫就寫好；

17、要想寫好英語書法的最關鍵要做的一件事情就是：要想有成效，就得抱著積極的態度去完成它：把每個單詞都讀準後再默寫下來。這可能更費時間，但是能達到熟練和記住單詞的效果；

18、最後要鄭重提出的是，不要用抄寫的辦法去記單詞，用抄寫的方法背單詞，實際是在背字母的寫法，學到老也走不出英文字母表，且越寫越亂，寫了也不會讀，這遠遠地背離了應該讓學生認識到英語是一種拼音文字的因材施教的原則（這裡我說的“材”是教材）。英語單詞不像漢字那樣，不會的寫的，寫寫就會了，如果用寫漢字的辦法去寫英語單詞，就註定了永遠都學不好英語！
