It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a sitting room, a kitchen and a big balcony. I'm so happy that I have my own bedroom now. In front of the building, there's a big garden. there're many tall trees and beautiful flowers in it. In the afternoon, many children like to play games there.In the morning, you can see many old people doing exercise.That sounds good,right?I like my new home.。

There is no guarantee that drugs are safe—even if they have been tested on animals—because the physiological differences between humans and other animals prevent the results of animal tests from being accurately extrapolated to humans. Some drugs that have been approved through animal tests can cause serious and unexpected side effects for humans. A 2002 report in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that in the last 25 years, more than 50 FDA-approved drugs had to be taken off the market or relabeled because they caused “adverse reactions.” In 2000 alone, the prescription drugs removed from the market were the popular heartburn drug Propulsid (removed because it caused “fatal heart rhythm abnormalities”), the diabetes drug Rezulin (“removed after causing liver failure”), and the irritable-bowel-syndrome treatment Lotronex (“removed for causing fatal constipation and colitis”). According to the study's lead author, “Millions of patients are exposed to potentially unsafe drugs each year.” If the pharmaceutical industry switched from animal experiments to quantum pharmacology and in vitro tests, we would be better protected from harmful drugs, not less protected.“If we didn't test on animals, how would we conduct medical research?” Human clinical and epidemiological studies, studies on cadavers, and computer simulations are faster, more reliable, less expensive, and more humane than animal tests. Ingenious scientists have used human brain cells to develop a model “microbrain” that can be used to study tumors and have also come up with artificial skin and bone marrow. Instead of killing animals, we can now test irritancy on egg membranes, produce vaccines from cell cultures, and perform pregnancy tests using blood samples. As Gordon Baxter, cofounder of Pharmagene Laboratories—a company that uses only human tissue and computers to develop and test its drugs—says, “If you have information on human genes, what's the point of going back to animals?” “Doesn't animal experimentation help animals by advancing veterinary science?” The point is not whether animal experimentation can be useful to animals or humans; the point is that we do not have the moral right to inflict unnecessary suffering on those who are at our mercy. Saying that it's acceptable to experiment on animals to advance veterinary science is like saying that it's acceptable to experiment on poor children to benefit rich ones.“Don't medical students have to dissect animals?” No, they don't. In fact, more and more medical students are becoming conscientious objectors who choose to learn by assisting experienced surgeons instead of by using animals. In Great Britain, it is against the law for medical students to practice surgery on animals, and British physicians are just as competent as those who were educated elsewhere. Many of the leading U.S. medical schools, including Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, now use innovative, clinical teaching methods instead of cruel animal laboratories. Harvard, for instance, offers a cardiac-anesthesia practicum in which students observe human heart bypass operations instead of performing terminal surgery on dogs. The Harvard staff members who developed this practicum have recommended that it be implemented elsewhere.“Should we throw out all the drugs that were developed and tested on animals? 。

hmm..well today was fun!..mom made me go to the stupid public pool thing with kaitlyn,nicholas and mady drew..and it sucked..cause its not like i actually did anything..i just sat there for..however long we were there and listened to music and drew in my notebook thingy..but yea..and i swear..if i got tan im ganna scream..cause i like being just..like..white..or pale i guess..coughemocough..hehe!..tyann always says im emo when i say i dont wanna get tan..or darker or whatever..but yea..today was boring..and then i got to go home and clean the whole freaking house..cause my mom had to go get this guy thats ganna work in the restaurant and so hes staying at our house for a while..so its like yey!..another mexican..its not like im racist..i just..im tired of always being around people that i have no idea what theyre saying..but anyways..hmm..im really bored..*sigh*..and now theyre here..what fun..oh great..i just realized something..this means no video games at like 2 in the morning..oh well i guess..he'll be gone soon enough..hopefully。

.hmm..i probablly need to be getting to be getting to bed soon..cause theres nothing else for me to do..and i really wanna get rid of this whole sickness thing..and so im supposed to sleep..alot..which sucks..and haha!..brittany has school tomorrow..ohh..i got soo excited the other day..cause like i got my report card and i started freaking out..cause i got a b in biology..and i was failing like..the week before finals..and i was like AH!..i was like so surprised..but yea..im ganna go..i probablly wont actually sleep..mostly cause i have to eat lucky charms cause i havent done that yet today..lol..but yea..so im off to eat lucky charms..。

JUST LIKE HEAVEN-- THE MOVIE WHICH I LIKE BEST Just Like Heaven is just about the best movie so far this year, and I've seen about fifity of them. As a comedy it's funnier than Bewitched or The Man, not quite as funny as The Wedding Crashers but far more refined. In addition to comedy it's got heart and spirit. Reese Witherspoon plays a busy doctor who gets into a tragic car accident early in the film, and then the story follows Mark Ruffalo, who rents her apartment. Before long he sees her ghost, who can't remember who she is, and after a rocky start helps her to find out. Where the story goes from there is more important, but I don't want to give away any more of the plot. It remains a pleasant comedy even through the profound life-and-death parts of the story; for only the second time this year Hollywood's made a film that addresses a current issue without preaching their liberal agenda (the other was The Island, which showed immoral consequences of cloning). I think movie critics who are berating this film are biased for that reason, and ignoring the quality of the movie, which is a pleasant comedy from start to finish with some heartwarming and profound scenes. Though it's a comedy, this is at least the second or third most important film I've seen this year next to The Great Raid, which was a true story, and perhaps The Island

1. It was sunny and very hot today. I got up early and helped my parents cook breakfast. Then I washed the dishes and cleaned the room. After a short rest I did my homework in the morning. In the afternoon I went swimming in the nearest swimming pool with my friends. It was really cool to swim in such a hot day. I surfed the internet and read a storybook in the evening. Speak without Fear The biggest problem most people face in learning a new language is their own fear. They worry that they won't say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don't talk at all. Don't do this. However, there are several reasons why many of the best schools prefer to hire native English speakers. One of the reasons is that native speakers have a natural flow to their speech that students of English should try to imitate. The closer ESL / EFL students can get to this rhythm or flow, the more convincing and comfortable they will become. Watch English Films and Television This is not only a fun way to learn but it is also very effective. By watching English films (especially those with English subtitles) you can expand your vocabulary and hear the flow of speech from the actors. If you listen to the news you can also hear different accents. Listen to English Music Music can be a very effective method of learning English. In fact, it is often used as a way of improving comprehension. The best way to learn though, is to get the lyrics (words) to the songs you are listening to and try to read them as the artist sings. There are several good internet sites where one can find the words for most songs. This way you can practice your listening and reading at the same time. And if you like to sing, fine. Study As Often As Possible!Only by studying things like grammar and vocabulary and doing exercises, can you really improve your knowledge of any language. Do Exercises and Take TestsMany people think that exercises and tests aren't much fun. However, by completing exercises and taking tests you can really improve your English. One of the best reasons for doing lots of exercises and tests is that they give you a benchmark to compare your future results with. Often, it is by comparing your score on a test you took yesterday with one you took a month or six months ago that you realize just how much you have learned. If you never test yourself, you will never know how much you are progressing. Start now by doing some of the many exercises and tests on this site, and return in a few days to see what you've learned. Keep doing this and you really will make some progress with English. Record Yourself Nobody likes to hear their own voice on tape but like tests, it is good to compare your tapes from time to time. You may be so impressed with the progress you are making that you may not mind the sound of your voice as much. Listen to English By this, we mean, speak on the phone or listen to radio broadcasts, audiobooks or CDs in English. This is different than watching the television or films because you can't see the person that is speaking to you. There are many ways of traveling such as by plane, by train, by ship, by bus. And people can choose any of ways of traveling if they like. To me, the best way of traveling on a summer vacation is to go on foot. My preference depends on the purpose of the travel. On a summer vacation I travel to refresh myself and to see the countryside. When I use my feet and walk on a grass covered path along a river or among the hills I feel detached from the noise of the city and closer to the nature. And when I travel on foot I get more freedom. I can plan my own schedule. I can choose my own route. I can stop where I like. And I can see things and people that I mi。

In one of our class-meetings,we had a heated discussion about whether the students in senior grade 3 should have some nutrition.60 percent of the class think that,if we keep on exercises,we needn't any nutrition.Also,most of the nutrition is very expensive.No doubt, it will increase the family expense if you have some nutrition every day. Meanwhile,over-having nutrition will do great harm to your health.

But 40 percent of the class agree that many students feel tired with our lessons,and we have not much time to do any exercises.They think that nutrition can help us recover.

Anyway,diffreent people will have different ideas on the same problem. And it depends on the individual,and depends on the personal economy,personal body state and personal living habit as well.
